HOW IT WORKS

Your code and content

Your agreed website project includes client-specific completed code, copy and client-provided or eligible purchased assets under the signed project IP and license terms. We supply an export after your final project approval and payment, before the domain goes live.

Reusable proprietary tools, shared framework components and third-party/open-source licenses may have different ownership or usage rights. Your agreement identifies any exceptions.

Stock imagery and licensed media

Media you supplied remains yours. Stock images licensed through your own account or purchased for you remain governed by those supplier licenses.

Media licensed under Colorbull’s stock account is governed by its original provider terms, and the original stock image copyright does not transfer just because it appeared on a website. We identify any restrictions relevant to a move.

Free source-code export

You may request a raw ZIP or repository export of the eligible files at no cost, whether shortly after launch or years later. There is no early-cancellation fee to release your files.

The free export is not installation, managed hosting, debugging a new provider or a guaranteed turnkey deployment on an unfamiliar platform.

Optional managed transfer, from $250

If you prefer us to move your website to another hosting environment, the optional Managed Website Transfer service starts at $250 for a straightforward static website. We quote the actual scope and price before proceeding.

Databases, ecommerce, bookings, payment integrations, application backends, unusually complex DNS and other migrations may cost more. You can always take the raw files and arrange the move yourself.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions.

Do I have to pay for my website source code?

No. Raw source files are free. $250 is only the starting price for optional technical migration assistance.

Do I lose my website if I cancel hosting?

Your completed owned deliverables remain yours under the agreement. You can obtain the raw files free. Continued hosting or a move to a new provider is a separate arrangement.

Can another developer work on my website?

Yes. We provide the client-owned source and eligible assets in a portable format, subject to license terms for third-party components and media.
