HOW IT WORKS

Who is responsible for the domain?

If you already own the domain, you retain responsibility for renewing it, retaining registrar access and authorizing DNS or nameserver changes. We provide instructions and reasonable support, and can make approved changes when you grant appropriate access.

We cannot guarantee access to another provider’s registrar account or override a domain lock. If you separately buy domain registration or management through Colorbull, the specific order defines those responsibilities and charges.

What to prepare before launch

Identify where the domain is registered, who controls DNS or nameservers, and who can authorize changes. Check for active business email before changing records; mail settings must be preserved.

Do not send passwords through ordinary forms or email. We will coordinate a safe authorization method if account access is required.

  • Registrar and DNS hosting provider information
  • Access for the authorized domain owner or administrator
  • Details of existing email, subdomains and other services
  • Permission to update the exact records required for the new website
  • Any registrar hold, DNS restrictions or certificate validation issues

Why the clock starts after readiness

Our usual 24–48-hour launch target begins after approval, final payment, source delivery, prepared hosting and domain prerequisites. If ownership access, registrar permissions, certificates or third-party DNS propagation are still pending, the site may take longer.

Your monthly managed website charge does not start simply because the website build is done or a staging preview exists; billing begins on verified public launch.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions.

Can Colorbull access my DNS for me?

If you have appropriate authority and securely grant access, we can assist. We cannot force a third-party registrar to grant access or guarantee changes to records we do not control.

Will a DNS change affect my email?

Potentially. Your mail records and existing subdomains should be reviewed and preserved where necessary before a DNS or nameserver cutover.

Do I have to buy my domain from Colorbull?

No. You may retain your existing registrar and ownership. Domain purchase/management is a separate optional service.
