Custom functionality starts with a specific business constraint

An internal field service tool, transaction platform or multi-role customer system cannot be priced fairly from a list of screens. The cost lives in permissions, business rules, data integrity, integrations, security and what has to happen when an operation fails.

We define a first release with explicit authority, records, roles and acceptance criteria. The goal is to build the essential system properly before committing budget to features the organization may not need.

How the service is designed

  1. Operational discovery

Map real decisions, exceptions and current system boundaries.

  2. Role-based applications

Client, staff, management and specialist views shaped around real permissions.

  3. Data architecture

Records, lifecycle, migration, access and retention policies defined from the outset.

  4. Complex integrations

Provider APIs, webhooks and reconciliation with observable failures.

  5. Secure operations

Release controls, monitoring, backups, audit trails and documented ownership.

  6. Product evolution

Changes managed against evidence, usage and agreed business priorities.

Where custom software earns its cost

An application becomes worthwhile when the current process depends on spreadsheets, repeated manual copying, disconnected customer records or software that cannot express the required controls.

Examples include specialized service coordination, business portals, inventory and fulfillment experiences, internal workflows, marketplaces and subscription platforms. Novel financial or blockchain functions need additional technical and regulatory feasibility review.

Define the system before the development contract

Enterprise/custom implementation starts at $30,000 for a narrowly agreed first release. Technical uncertainty, data sensitivity, system scale, specialized integrations and independently built infrastructure affect the final proposal.

We document roles, key tasks, integrations, migration, operating assumptions, release criteria and ownership before quoting delivery stages.

Separate application operations

Managed operation starts at $1,000/month when contracted. Cloud consumption, external software licenses, heightened uptime support and additional development are identified independently.

The source code, operating environment and provider accounts are addressed in the agreement so support can be changed without confusing software ownership.

The operating model

Scope, ownership and the next step

Custom software starts at $30,000 for an agreed first release; managed operations start separately at $1,000/month when required. Major architecture or technical uncertainty is scoped before a final implementation quote.

The client agreement identifies source ownership, data processing and which connected systems are operated by Colorbull. Business continuity should not depend on hiding those responsibilities in a website contract.

Works alongside

Capabilities this program most often depends on or feeds. Each is scoped on its own and added only when it serves the objective.

  1. Client Portals & Booking Systems

Client accounts, bookings, service requests and connected records

  2. CRM & Workflow Integration

Connected lead routing, business records and reliable system handoffs

  3. Application Management & App Store Support

App hosting oversight, monitoring, updates and release support

Buyer questions

Can you build software without moving our entire business to Voyager?

Yes. We can scope applications that integrate with a supported existing environment. The architecture and responsibility of each connected system are agreed separately.

Does the starting price cover any custom application?

No. It applies only to a bounded first release after discovery. Highly specialized, regulated or extensive systems require custom technical scoping.

Who controls our data?

Data ownership, access, security, exports and operational retention are specified in the contract before live records are introduced.

  1. How much does a business mobile app cost?

The price of an app is set by its journeys, its integrations and what happens after launch, not by the number of screens.
